Lithium carbonate prices continue to decrease.

Lithium carbonate price below 400,000 / ton! On March 1, Shanghai Steel Union released data, battery grade lithium carbonate down 7,500 yuan/ton, the average price of 395,000 yuan/ton, industrial grade lithium carbonate down 6,500 yuan/ton, the average price of 365,000 yuan/ton.


Lithium carbonate prices have been falling since last November. Domestic battery grade lithium carbonate prices have fallen 30 per cent since their peak in November, according to Wind. With weak supply and demand, some institutions pointed out that lithium prices will continue to fall. From the perspective of demand, power batteries account for about 40%-60% of the cost of new energy vehicles. The falling price of lithium carbonate is expected to ease the cost pressure of automobile enterprises.


The price of lithium has accelerated to a 30% drop in three months


In the past due to the market "tight" and the price of lithium carbonate repeatedly rose, but recently came a 180 degree reversal, the price quite have the trend of falling.


From a number of recent platform feedback data, lithium carbonate prices at the end of February again ushered in a new round of decline. According to the data just released by Shanghai Steel Union, battery grade lithium carbonate fell 7,500 yuan/ton, the current average price of 395,000 yuan/ton, industrial grade lithium carbonate fell 6,500 yuan/ton, the average price of 365,000 yuan/ton.


The price of battery-grade lithium carbonate fell 30% from 570,000 yuan per ton in mid-November to 395,000 yuan per ton in February, according to Wind. Industrial lithium carbonate prices fell 33% from 545,000 yuan per ton in mid-November to 365,000 yuan per ton in February.
