Potassium silicate powder Introduction:

Potassium silicate is a colorless or yellowish translucent to transparent glass.  Hygroscopicity and powder.  There's a strong base reaction.  It breaks down in acid to precipitate silica.  Slowly soluble in cold water or almost insoluble (depending on its composition), insoluble in ethanol.  Potassium silicate is commonly used in the manufacture of electrodes, welding electrodes, VAT dyes, fire retardant.  Also used as fluorescent screen coating and soap filler.  In the stable state, it is a viscous liquid of hyaluronic substance, showing blue-green color.  Soluble in water and acid, and gelatinous silicic acid precipitation, the higher the potassium content is more soluble.  Insoluble in alcohols.  

Potassium silicate powder Usage:

Protective coating (prevents "frosting", i.e. crystallization of salt surface).  The catalyst.  The binder.  Used as a detergent in the manufacture of glass and ceramics.  The phosphor is glued to the picture tube and coated on the outside of the welding rod to overcome spatter.  It can be used as reductive dye, fireproof agent, welding electrode binder and inorganic coating binder, and can also be used in the production of soap, medicine, refractory materials, etc.
